Bergamon Hostel - Brunskog Vandrarhem

Bergamon Hostel is surrounded by beautiful nature and close to the Lake Värmeln. This is a wonderful location for a great family vacation in Värmland or a short stay if you are just passing by. Within walking distance of the hostel you will find Brunskog's open-air museum (Brunskogs Hembygdsgård) next to the lake, where many different activities are arranged throughout the year.

The main house of the hostel was built in the beginning of the 1930s as a nursing home. Since the closure of the nursing home in 1982, the facility has been run as a hostel. In 2020, LifeStyleSTAY took over the operation and runs it together with the Hagegården Retreat Hotel (only 3 km down the road).

The hostel provides two small kitchens where you can cook your own food. Breakfast is not provided, but you may purchase breakfast at Hagegården Retreat Hotel where there is served a breakfast buffet every morning between 8:00 and 9:00. Prebook the evening before. Price 150 kr / person. On the property you have free access to a minigolf course with 12 holes, an outside grill with a picnic area, as well as a small grill-hut. You can also enjoy two gazebos, a big outdoor chess board, and a sandbox for the children. There are several marked hiking trails, starting at the hostel and going up the Brunskog Mountain (Brunskogsfjället).

The restaurant at Hagegården Retreat Hotel is open during the summer on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for seating between 18:00 and 19:00. Here you will find delicious plant-based dinners. Please book a table latest the day before.
